EP51: Life Update: My Life, My Mindset and My Business.

It’s just you and me in this episode.

After a few weeks of interviewing some incredible past clients, I wanted to sit down and have a real catch-up. A proper behind-the-scenes life update.

Because so much has been happening.

Right now I’m 42 years old and six months pregnant after ten years of trying to conceive. I’m also running a business, preparing for maternity leave as a solo entrepreneur, and navigating the emotional and logistical whirlwind of preparing for a baby.

And honestly?

It’s been a lot.

In this episode I’m sharing openly about the season I’m in — the excitement, the overwhelm, the decision fatigue, and the unexpected ways pregnancy has been shifting how I move through life and business.

For the first time in a long time, I found myself in a place where I knew what I wanted to do… but I wasn’t taking action. And if you know me, you know that’s not a place I usually sit.

This episode is about what was really going on beneath that.

It’s about the pressure I was putting on myself to figure everything out before the baby arrives, the mental load of preparing for motherhood while running a business, and the moment I realised that the more pressure I applied, the more disconnected I became.

And then something shifted.

When I stopped forcing clarity and started taking small actions again, everything began to move.

Because one of the things I teach my clients — and something I had to remind myself of — is this:

When I lead, the universe follows.

Inside this episode:

  • Turning 42 and being 24 weeks pregnant on my birthday
  • Our Noosa babymoon and the realisation that it was our last trip as just the two of us
  • The pressure of preparing my business for maternity leave as a solo entrepreneur
  • Why overwhelm can create paralysis — even when you know what to do
  • Decision fatigue around baby preparation, registries and “what do you actually need?”
  • Navigating pregnancy while running a business from home
  • Letting go of perfectionism and trusting that clarity will land when it’s ready
  • The pivot I’m making inside my business this year
  • Why I’m approaching the next season with a “fuck around and find out” energy
  • And the reminder that action dissolves overwhelm

This episode is a real, honest snapshot of the season I’m in.

The becoming.

The preparing.

The figuring-it-out-as-I-go.

And if you’re a woman navigating business, motherhood, big life changes — or simply a season where everything feels a little uncertain — I hope this conversation reminds you that you don’t have to have it all perfectly mapped out.

Sometimes clarity comes after you move.
